WW1 Bunting Quilt
World War II, quilted later
Approx. 70 x 73
A fabulous star spangled banner quilt comprised of U.S. 48 star flag bunting from the World War II era. Three strips of bunting were pieced together by hand to form the two by three array of flags. The quilt top was then filled with thin cotton batting and backed with feedsacks.
Outline quilting, done completely by hand, of the stars and stripes accentuate our flag's design and a 3/8 inch wide applied red binding in same date fabric frames the quilt.
A gorgeous rendition of Old Glory for display not only on the Fourth of July but year round. As it is currently on display in our gallery it comes with a sleeve for hanging. This patriotic beauty can be sent to you on approval.
