A fabulous piece of abstract art from the mid 1930's created in cotton sateen using luscious colors. A center medallion stands out as the focal point amid radiating multiple concentric squares of solid color. A true vintage quilt that would be wonderful in a contemporary home or office setting. The center square containing the Broken Dishes medallion measures 14 1/2 inches square with the concentric squares ranging in widths between 2 inches and 5 1/2 inches. A striking palette of salmon and deep olive green for the center medallion with squares of celery green, two tones of yellow, a deeper salmon rose, pale lavender, pale pink and an oyster shell gray.

Machine pieced and hand quilted in outline stitches throughout with Herringbone stitching in the outer top and bottom salmon borders. The cotton backing is a solid minty green that folds to the front and is hand stitched down to form the 3/8 inch wide binding. A wonderful contemporary palette with great graphics this quilt is in excellent condition. Betsey believes it has never been used.

A graphic piece of textile art for wall or bed and professionally hand washed by Betsey. Ask to see this quilt on approval in the privacy of your home.
