This is a lovely cotton quilt in a two color palette of purple and white. Executed in a terrific small scale, this variation of the Hole in the Barn Door pattern is framed by a wonderful approximately 8 inch white border. For the interior design solid purple and white cottons were hand pieced into 3 ½ inch octagonal blocks, alternating between purple and white, with purple 1 ¼ inch joining squares set on point. Very nice and quite unusual. Cross hatch hand quilting is found in each hole in the barn door with outline stitching for each octagon. The white border is hand quilted with one inch cross hatch stitching surrounding unique floral designs.

The backing is white and the 3/8 inch applied binding is the same solid purple used in the blocks. A soft and cuddly quilt with wonderful energy that will go with almost any décor.
