The maker of this fantastic quilt had a confident sense of color; choosing to combine intensely dark blues and browns from the 1840's through the 1860's with a lovely circa 1860 double pink. The double border is comprised of an inner sawtooth border measuring approximately 3 inches, and an outer 7 inch border comprised of two different double pinks. This quilt has a muslin backing and binding, and has been entirely hand pieced and hand quilted using medallion and outline designs. In unused condition and professionally hand washed by Betsey.
