Such an unusual find! This quilt is a perfect combination of colors and patterns for any child, and wouldn't it be fun on the wall in a twins' room? Judging by the unusual dimensions, perhaps it was originally made for this purpose, but it was never used. The sashing and borders are comprised of pink and blue cotton sateen, and the binding is formed from the turned over pink backing. This quilt has been machine pieced, but the Sues and Sams have been hand appliqued and embroidered, and the quilting is by hand as well. The quilt is in mint condition; all the cotton sateen still has its original shine, so Betsey will leave the professional washing decision up to you.
