What a fabulously graphic quilt in the very sought after true red and white color palate! In unused condition, the cotton fabrics were hand pieced and appliqued in a most unusual rendition of a Sawtooth with a Gothic style papercut pattern in the center. This red appliqué is approximately 25 inches across, and the outer sawtooth border is approx 17 inches on two of the sides and 10 inches on the remaining two sides. Entirely hand quilted in crosshatching, outline, chevrons, circles, and stars. The ½ inch white binding has been hand applied only to the back side, so from the front, it looks like the quilt has a pillowcase edging. The combination of pieced sawtooth and papercut appliqué makes this graphic quilt very special for a wall or bed. Wide enough for a king sized bed! Professionally hand washed by Betsey.
