Absolutely spectacular needlework elevates this early, gorgeous deep indigo and white quilt to another level of textile art! In unused condition, this piece has been entirely hand pieced and lavishly hand quilted with the tiniest of stitches. The ocean wave triangles are 2 x 2 x 3 inches, cut from deep indigo cotton in an unusual key print. The off-white joining blocks are approx. 6 ¼ inches square, and each contains an intricate little feather medallion. The 4 3/8 inch border has been filled with gracefully undulating feathered cables, and bound with a separately applied ¼ inch indigo binding. The backing is white linen.
