In unused condition, this marvelously graphic quilt has wonderful fabrics; three deep indigo prints, a deep red print with tiny black vines, and a very unusual blue and taupe stripe used for the joining blocks. All hand pieced and hand quilted in 1 inch crosshatching. The red border is 1-1 ½ inches on three sides, with the fourth side containing an additional 1 ½ inch indigo inner border. The binding has been turned over from the front to the back on this fourth side, but pieced and separately applied to the other three sides. The backing is medium brown home dyed linen.
