The perfect quilt for fabric lovers! In unused condition, Betsey acquired this quilt directly from a family member, so we are fortunate to be able to include the family provenance. Large triangles measuring 4 x 5 x 5 inches were hand pieced from a wide variety of fabrics in shirtings, indigoes, browns, burgundies, overdyed greens, double pinks, and blacks in prints, florals, stripes, and calico. There is even a dark brown fabric printed with the red and blue Norwegian flag! Every triangle has been carefully hand outline quilted with brown thread. The separately applied ¼ inch binding is tiny brown print, and the wholecloth backing is a fabulous print of brown and taupe “puff balls”. Professionally hand washed by Betsey.
