This dynamic and very happy primarily salmon color Double Wedding Ring Quilt will bring smiles to any room. This quilt consists of 18 inch rings and a smorgasbord of 1950s fabrics in every conceivable color, pattern and design. The pieces which make up the rings measure apx. 1-3/4 inches. The green 1/2 inch binding is the only machine work seen on the quilt, and the machine stitching cannot be seen. One side is put in by machine, turned over, and then sewn down by hand. Each center area has quilting that is 1-1/2 inch cross-hatched on the diagonal. The open areas in the corners of that area contain shamrock shaped quilting. The joining squares measure apx. 1-7/8 inches. The eye shaped pieces joining the rings are filled with quilting of conjoining rings symbolizing the unity of marriage. This large size quilt will perfectly fit a queen size bed or cover a king size bed with a slight overhang. In perfect unused condition.
