What a sweet and whimsical additional to your home this hand made quilt would make. From the smallest state in the union with the largest name (actual name “State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations”) you should expect something a little different from the ordinary! A variety of fabric colors, prints and patterns are used in the long trails with a soft green solid used in alternate corners of each block to unify the design. Each block measures 7 ½ inches square and is hand pieced and hand quilted with outline stitches along each trail and both outline and straight line stitches in the white areas between the trails.

The backing is soft white cotton which folds over to the front forming a ½ inch machine stitched binding. A very soft and huggable quilt for all to enjoy it would be equally as effective as a folky and very graphic wall hanging.

In very good condition with slight fading overall this quilt has been professionally hand washed by Betsey.
