A pristine blue and white quilt in excellent condition! Beautifully hand pieced and hand quilted it is comprised of a single deep indigo blue fabric with tiny white stars and solid white cotton. Each star block is set on point and measures 10 x 10 inches with white joining blocks between. Three borders surround the grouping of stars: a 5 ½” white border flanked by 1 7/8” sawtooth borders in the same indigo blue and white. The backing is the same white as used on the front. This gorgeous textile is finished with a separately applied ¼” white binding.

Hand quilting on this exquisite quilt includes a variety of patterns executed by a clever and experienced hand. A graceful, undulating feathered vine in the white border frames the entire quilt. Double line ¾” diagonal cross hatch stitching is contained in the star blocks, while beautiful feathered pinwheels are stitched in each 10 x 10 white joining block. Each blue and white sawtooth border is accented with 3/8” diagonal line stitching.
