What a wonderful rendition of the classic Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt. This 20th century beauty contains a varied mix of solids, plaids, florals, and calico fabrics from the 1920’s. Each hexagon measures 1 5/8 inch per side, or 1 7/8 inches across. The center hexagon of each "flower"is a solid fabric coordinating with the colors in the outer petals. Of special note is the unusual mustard path which surrounds and unites the flowers.

Your queen bed would be stunning with this Flower Garden quilt turned the 86 inch width from right to left.....There would be 13 inches over the sides!

This beautiful quilt in excellent condition is entirely hand outline stitched around each hexagon....hundreds of hexagons! A white cotton is used for the backing. The detailed edging of the quilt is enhanced with a pillowcase edge done by hand with tiny quilting stitches.
