This quilt top features blocks hand-embroidered with scenes of westward expansion, such as a wagon train, a cowboy on a horse, log garrison and others. It also includes three flags, one of which appears to be the Third Flag of the Confederate States of America. The 6 ¼” (apx.) pictorial blocks are hand embroidered; the blocks and border are pieced together by machine. This unique piece will be beautifully enhanced by quilting.
