Graphically wonderful and filled with an exciting array of second
quarter of the 19th Century fabrics...even some older! This lovingly
used quilt will fit a queen size bed with a 15" drop or a king size bed
with a 5" drop.
Completely hand pieced and hand quilted as the sewing machine was just
entering the public domain. The pieced blocks measure 7-1/2" square
with 2-1/2" joining strips or sashing. The diamonds measure 2-1/8" x 3 x
2-1/8" x 3". The Flying Geese border is 3-1/4" wide and holds the
"geese" triangles measuring 2-1/8" X 3" X 2-1/8". There is a separately
applied binding which is only 1/4" in width!
There is herringbone design quilting along with diagonal, outline and
star design quilting.
If you choose to hang this quilt there are already 2" sleeves ..ready
to hang
This lovingly used quilt is now washed with an organic wash product and
