How wonderful to find unusual design quilts. We are fortunate to have
recently acquired some twentieth century applique quilts that are not
only wonderful, but unusual.
Comprised of 13 Branches of flowers in bright happy colors! Thirteen
branches of flowers have been perfectly displayed in rows of two and
three. There are 12 branches surrounding the perimeter of the quilt. The
solid fabric colors are deep lavender, deep rose, medium royal blue,
sage green and pale yellow. All of this on a white background.
The applique was executed with tiny precise stitches. Quilting was also
executed with small perfectly executed stitches. The quilting design is
also unusual, with parallel lines that have me sensing wind and movement.
The tiny binding was sewn on by machine and closed with the equally tiny
stitches. This binding measures 3/16" which is narrower than a 1/4"
binding!
Appearing to be unused, it is now hand washed with organic products; this
quilt is ready to be sent, with free shipping, for your approval.
