A decorators dream for a white or pastel, sophisticated, yet happy bedroom. These 1950's quilts are beautifully executed with applique work, embroidery and quilting! The applique stitching is very small and precise. All together there are 17 appliques, embroidered stylized flowers. Each sprig or wreath of flowers is separated by a two tone blue bow. Colors are all pastels.

Quilting design consists of a wreath around each of the sprigs plus crosshatching and little floral designs. Stitching is small and even. The edge is slightly scalloped with a 3/8" blur binding separately applied and finished by hand. The backing is the same white as the front.

One quilt was hardly used and one appears never to have been used. These can be sold separately. A kit quilt, as seen here, just means that all the fabric is obtained as well as the quilting design being stamped on the front. However, all work had to be executed by the quilter!
