Amazing is an understatement! There are 20 squares measuring 15" X 15" with the top row measuring 9" X 15".

The embellishment is over the top with an orange Yellow Lilly, birds, butterfly, anchors, fans, poppies, bugs, tulip, lily of the valley, cattails, mariner's compass, owls and too much to name and too incredible to describe. The embroidery was executed by a skilled and creative embroiderer...a much desired attribute of sophisticated women of that era and later. The fabrics used are silks and silk velvets with the backing being a very fine black cotton. The binding is black silk measuring 3/8" in width.
