CONHO46A Amish Double Four Square/Diamond in a Square Quilt
c. 1915
76 x 76 inches
Lancaster, Pennsylvania
$7,800

The quintessential Amish quilt is the Corner Square Diamond In A Square...This magnificent piece is priced lower as there is some slight fade in one of the outer corner blocks. These quilts, for some reason, are impossible to get the correct colors. The colors are deep teal, deep hunter green, deep peach and rich burgundy.

Typical of Amish quilts, the piecing is executed with a treadle machine while the hand quilting is some of the finest you will see!

The 4 outer squares measure 13" x 13", the wide outer border is 13" X 48", the inner corner square measures 4" x 4", the dark peach inner sashing measures 4" x 40", the center diamond has 28" sides, the separately applied binding is 1-1/8" in width. The quilting designs are everything from crosshatching to exquisite vines, medallions, diamonds, feather quilting.

This quilt comes complete with the "sleeves"..top and bottom, ready to hang.

Always sent on approval, with free shipping.
