This classic quilt in the Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern contains a lovely color palette of solid hues. Each hexagon measures 1 1/4 inches across, 3/4 of an inch per side. Created from clear pastel cottons in saturated color this beautiful Amish textile is in excellent condition. It has been lovingly hand and machine pieced and hand quilted in outline stitching for the hexagons, diamond cable in the 1 3/4" purple inner border and triple cable for the 4 7/8" turquoise outer border. The artistic use of color placement adds to the visual impact and is a testament to the care taken while creating this piece.
A lovely soft yellow is used for all flower centers, with a solid turquoise the same shade as the outer border used for the paths between the flowers. The scalloped edging is framed with an applied 3/8" purple binding. The backing is a pale lavender cotton.
This is a lovely diminutive example of the Grandmother’s Flower Garden pattern and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. For use in that special crib or as art for your wall. This quilt has been professionally hand washed by Betsey and is ready to send to you on approval for review in the privacy of your home.
