This diminutive little quilt was lovingly made for a child’s doll. It is comprised of 7/8 inch squares laid out in the Trip Around the World pattern. The pieces are all assembled by hand. The separate applied 1/4 inch binding is stitched down using a treadle machine. The backing of this quilt is an early faded chemical dyed green calico which has become a shade of taupe, as it is now. Chances are this doll quilt was made to match one that the mother made for herself. In complete original condition and ready for you to enjoy.
