This LeMoyne Star fragment was originally part of a four post New England Quilt. There are fabrics as part of this delightful little piece that date back to the 1780’s. I even see some hand painted block prints as part of this quilt. This little quilt is comprised of 12 blocks, each being 8” square. Every other block is a LeMoyne star which alternates with red gingham blocks. The 3/8” binding has been created by using the original fabric from this quilt. A wonderful backing fabric is c.1800. Created using browns, reds, blues and taupe we have today’s colors shown on a very early quilt. Organically hand washed and ready for your approval.
