An amazing Windmill log Cabin design, which is the hardest to find Log
Cabin Pattern. Maybe it is the hardest to find because it is also the
most difficult to create.
The fabrics are Turkey Red and dozens of 1870's era calicos. The "logs"
are 1/2" to 7/8" in width, the chimney is 1-1/2" square. The separately
applied binding is 1/4" in width. All piecing were executed by hand.
The Turkey Red joining triangles measure 5-1/2" X 5-1/2" X 8" while the
Turkey Red Joining square has 5-1/2" sides.
What a perfect size for that hard to decorate area in one's home...a
cheery, warm feeling piece of textile art.
