What a perfectly exquisite piece of art for your wall! The huge star dominates the quilt, radiating outward with 2 inch diamonds of yellow calico, solid brown, madder geometric print, double pink, and overdyed green. A triple border of matching yellow calico, madder, and white contain the star, and the white background matches the backing and 3/8 inch separately applied binding. This beautiful quilt has been densely quilted with medallions, outline, cross-hatching, and meandering feathers by a very skillful needlewoman with a confident eye for graphics. A fabulous find in that desirable Pennsylvania combination of yellow and browns. Professionally hand washed by Betsey.
