Q8873 Yellow and White Signature Block
c.1930
77 x 77
Berks County, PA
$1,800

A fantastic unused quilt in a two color palette of solid yellow and white. Double borders with four patch corner blocks surround signature blocks measuring approximately 10 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches each. The blocks are separated by 2 1/2 inch yellow sashing with two borders in yellow and white each also 2 1/2 inches wide. Machine pieced and entirely hand quilted with cross hatch in the blocks and double line parallel lines in the sashing, borders and four patch corner blocks. Some very light pencil lines from the quilting can still be seen in areas.

The backing is white cotton with a 3/8 inch applied yellow binding in the same fabric as the quilt top. The quilter made the binding slightly wider on the back side of the quilt at 5/8 of an inch. This wonderful quilt in solid yellow and white is crisp and clean. Betsey gave it its first wash by hand in the bathtub and it is beautiful. Ask to see it in the privacy of your home on approval.
