This bright and happy Double Wedding Ring quilt has been entirely hand pieced from a varied color palette of early 20th century cotton florals, geometrics, solids, calicoes, and plaids. The 2 7/8 inch solid green and pink joining blocks unify the quilt beautifully. Entirely hand quilted there is a large sunflower with cross hatch interior in the white center of each ring, echo line quilting in the pieced rings, geometric cables in the small white oblongs, and 1/2 inch cross hatch in the pink and green joining blocks.
The 3/8 inch green binding has been carefully applied by hand to follow the scallops of the rings. The backing is white cotton. The size is perfect for either a full size bed or a queen size with a footboard and /or coordinating pillows at the top.
An absolutely lovely example of the classic Double Wedding Ring quilt that appears to be unused and is in perfect condition. There are a few faint pencil lines still visible here and there that were used for marking the quilting pattern. Professionally hand washed by Betsey and ready to ship to you on approval for private viewing in the privacy of your home.
