Q9321 Funky Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt

c. 1928
68 x 77 inches
Maine
$700

This has to be the funkiest Flower Garden quilt that I have ever seen or sold! All of the work was executed by hand...and perfectly! So why such a funky border?...The only reason I can think of is the quilter must have had a great sense of humor

Each hexagon measures 7/8" with each piece being quilted on both sides. There are two rows making up the border, one a pale orange and the outer row a deeper orange. There is a 1/4" separately applied, by hand, binding in white. The Kelly green hexagons placed strategically thoughout the quilt add an extra touch to the creativity of the maker. What a study of 1920's prints...tiny prints in the full array of pastels.

A size that makes a great "throw" or a twin bed quilt.

In perfect condition, that seems unused...now hand washed with an organic product and ready to send, with free shipping, for your approval.
