This Turkey Red and White Double Irish Chain quilt has been used. The
body of the quilt appears to be perfect. However, there is some wear on
the binding. There are different shades of Turkey Red on this quilt. I
see it as character :-)
The squares measure 1-1/4" The separately applied binding measures 1/4".
The white areas are quilted with different flowers, wreaths and a
herringbone design. The quilting is tiny and wonderful..a really good
quilter !The backing is a whole cloth white.
This was a very popular design. A woman from an affluent family created
this quilt, as Turkey Red Fabric was very expensive.
