UF62 Counter Cross Stitched Table Runner

In perfect, unused condition this counter cross stitched table runner
was created on linen..selvedge to selvedge measuring only 15" in width
which gives another clue to the age of this textile. Much of the work on
this piece replicates designs seen on Album quilts of this era. The
women holding the horses are depicted as Black, also indicative of the
era.
All work is perfectly executed from black, red and chrome orange cotton
embroidery thread, with touches of blue. There are 2 initials.."H" and
"M". The two ends of the table runner are mirror images of each other.
