						A wonderful example of early American textile art on consignment from a private collection. A magnificent Blazing Star that appears to go on ad infinitum. Gorgeous early printed cottons are contained in this circa 1825 quilt which is a treasure trove for antique fabric lovers. A beautiful color palette carefully arranged in multiple blues, teals, greens, browns, madder dye, reds and black accentuate this very graphic pattern.

Beautifully constructed with sharp points on each diamond shape showcase the maker's skill with a needle. Diamonds measure 3 3/4" from top to bottom and are each outline quilted using linen thread. The backing is linen with a scant hand applied 1/4" wide indigo blue calico binding.
A stunning showpiece quilt that is in excellent, crisp condition. It would be amazing hung on the wall as graphic art - ask us about adding sleeves - or magnificent displayed on a bed.
