With a fabulous array of typical 1890s fabrics, this fragment is in original condition. The binding has been pilfered from other parts of the quilt, and matches the backing. It was machine pieced. The quilt was never used, but the center was damaged for some reason. This fragment is one of the perfect parts of that quilt. Comprised of 4 log cabin squares which measure 10.75 x 11 inches.
