If you are looking for a classic signature block quilt in excellent condition, look no further! Approximately 12 inch square blocks have been hand pieced from a wide variety of checks, plaids and solids in happy shades of red, indigo, cadet blue, yellow, and blue chambray. All signatures have been carefully embroidered in stem, outline, or backstitching using pearl cotton. Medium blue chambray was used for both the 2 ¼ inch wide sashing and the 4 ½ inch border. The 3/8 inch binding has been turned over from the front to the back, and the wholecloth backing is cheerful blue and white woven check.
Hand quilted with outlining in the blocks and straight lines set 1 inch apart in the sashing and border. What a great quilt, still exuding the good vibes of long ago friends! Professionally hand washed.
